I had to write a poem for class, and since I hate writing poetry I used my story as a template to jump off from... this is what I got.

The Spirit Knight and the Beginning of the Feud

Eyes staring upward
Time to escape
Run to the ocean
Where your ship awaits

The Lord of Light has fallen
The warlock of shadows stands proud
The princeling looks on, skin crawling
Asha the guard breaks ground

The Spirit Knight looks over
From above the dead king’s crown
Your life will bring him the Honor
Your death will seal Soul to ground

Take flight from this curse,
Comes the order
Mount the king’s horse,
Comes the shout
Flee to the ship that awaits you,
Save the royal house

With the flight comes the chase
The Spirit Knight for the prince
The flame flickers on the wick
Asha falls behind

Heaven will guide you or break your steed
Follow the forest and surrender you fear
For Heaven misses the cliff and breaks its creed
The Spirit Knight laughs, all too near

The ground breaks way,
The Earth disappears
The rocks smashing helms
The stars in the young bright eyes

Poor Little Prince,
Whispers the Spirit Knight
Poor Little Prince of Man,
His voice like the night

But once his eyes are open
The Prince of Man still sees
Glistening gems on the ocean
The tide set to the breeze

They cannot save you Little Prince
The Spirit Knight closes in
Your Soul is Mine Little Prince
And the boy sees his end

Asha rounds the bend,
Honor Guard until the end,
Isaac and Asi top the rise,
Royal Guard hold their ties

Too late to save his Royal Person,
Asha’s sword saves only his Honor
Asi cries out Murder
The Spirit Knight howls of theft

He sweeps away Isaac’s head,
Guts out Asi’s sides
Then down to his knees from Asha’s blade
Once more in death he cries,

Thieves And Liars All!

And with that Curse came Asi’s crossbow
One quarrel for the Spirit Knight’s face,
One more bolt for Asha’s throat
She that murdered the Prince fell dying

Asi embraced Isaac, and none survived.
